Calligaris will introduce its contemporary furnishings, lighting and accessories to the Tysons Corner area via a new, 5,000-square-foot showroom opening in Tysons Galleria in fall 2017. Design Within Reach moved from its former Cady’s Alley spot to a larger one in the same complex. German Kitchen Center—based in Brooklyn—opened in Georgetown in July 2017. Home Escapes and the New Offenbachers is the reimagined moniker for Offenbachers, which shuttered its locations last year but got a rebirth in spring 2017 when Home Escapes bought the ailing company. Home on Cameron, the brainchild of designers Todd Martz and Susan Nelson, opened in Old Town Alexandria in spring 2017. Poliform | sagartstudio opened in an 1892 Georgetown row house in August 2017. Salt & Sundry needed more room for its colorful assortment of home goods, bar ware and edibles in late 2016, so owner Amanda McClements moved it around the corner to 14th Street, then opened a sister shop, Little Leaf, proffering succulents, houseplants and paper goods, in the old location.
