The purpose of the design of this modern construction was clear from the beginning — to highlight and make the most of the beautiful views, both from the outside and from inside the house. It is located in the center of Udenhout, a town near the city of Tilburg, in the south of The Netherlands.
This modest villa has been designed by the architectural studio Joris Verhoeven Architectuur, influenced by the spaces around it. This is why the architects installed both terraces from which we can enjoy the surrounding views and glass walls for those days in which we want to enjoy the views from the comfortable interior.
Social areas and rooms are located on the main level of the house, overlooking the garden. The rest of the spaces are located in an area of the house away from the sun’s rays.
Despite the fact that the home is energy-neutral, this does not impact the design in any way. The house is heated by a heat pump with geothermal heat and the energy required for it is generated by solar panels on the top roof. The full glass facade on the south side provides a lot of heat during the winter months. The built-in sunshades make sure that it never gets overheated.
The use of durable, maintenance-friendly materials ensures the long-term quality of this villa.
