i29 interior architects designed the new lobby, meeting area and restaurant for BKR, the Dutch national credit registration center. Dutch citizens visit the center to see their record in relation to mortgages, loans and debts. Our aim was to create a new interior identity that radiates professionalism, accuracy and transparency.

An open landscape where employees can meet with visitors and talk about precair financial subjects ask for many private areas in the design and superb acoustics. A serie of acoustic meeting booths are made from soft beige fabrics and wood, with some strong colored surfaces as a contrasting element.

Our challenge was to integrate all different elements in a unifying langscape of work and meeting places. A subtle color play of surfaces and materials connects the different objects through the space. Carpets are finished in the same color tone as cabinet fronts, completed with tables and chairs in matching color combinations. The light flooring, walls and ceiling are in contrast with the furniture family.

All cabinets, desks, meeting booths and benches are custom designed and made to measure. Added with selected furniture in matching colors to blend in with the general color and material palet. The bold colors and graphical play are referring to traditional Dutch modernism. The result is a simple, timeless and strong new identity for the BKR.

This project consists of a gated community composed of three houses that are shared by members belonging to the same family. The family has, over time, grown, and come to need more space in order to cover their needs.

Rustic materials were used in the social block of the home, such as reinforced concrete. Additionally, glass walls running from wall to wall have installed, allowing a direct connection with the outside and giving the space light and fresh air. Simple spaces have been created for the celebration of barbecues, parties, and other family gatherings.

The topography of the site was adjusted by smoothing the slope towards the back woods, creating a plateau that levels the garden and the building, expanding and integrating the internal and external spaces.

The work was done by the architectural firm Nommo Arquitetos under the leadership of Anderson Almeida in 2017. It covers an area of 136 square meters and is located in Florianópolis, in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil.

This social block is divided into a living room, a kitchen, and a dining room. The kitchen consists of a custom-made pizza oven, a grill, and a large wooden bench, which encloses the refrigerator, oven, and stove. The roof is made out of a waterproofed slab, polystyrene foam, and an interior lining of wood, supported by steel beams.

The annex block that is located parallel to the plot houses the bathrooms, water tanks, and a storage space.

House W is a new family home with outhouse designed by Peter Ruge Architekten in 2014, covers an area of 86,5 sqm with terrace of 47,0 sqm and is located in County Oberhavel, Brandenburg, Germany.

House W is a detached dacha for a German-Russian family of musicians. Located 75 km north of Berlin in the beautiful countryside of Brandenburg, it is surrounded by lakes and forests. On a large 6,500 m2 site, a one storey wooden cabin has been constructed with a spacious living, dining and kitchen area.

Connected to the imposing outside landscape, large window areas open the building up to the wooden porch and the natural garden. The low cost, wooden construction and the silver-turning larch cladding have been chosen to emphasize renewable primary products and to mingle with natural surroundings.

There’s just one month left before Halloween, and it’s high time to choose a party theme. Zombies, vampires, haunted parties, ghosts and witches are classics for Halloween, and today I’d like to share some chic ideas for those of you who want to become vampires this Halloween and host a gorgeous bloody party.

Vampires are chic and not very scary but a scary component for your decor will be fake blood – it can be added to decor or as food and drinks. Coffins and crosses plus graves are right what you need for decor, and black will be the main color, which can be spruced up with various shades of red and purple. Bats, in which vampires can turn themselves, should be also present at your party – make some of cardboard and attach wherver you want. Now let’s have a look at the coolest ideas we’ve found on the web.

Vampire Halloween Party Decor

Vampire Halloween decor is rather easy, we recommend to make it elegant and a little bit decadent. Black and red of various colors are right what you need, you may also add deep purple, metallic touches and white for a contrast. Lay the table with a black tablecloth, red napkins or a table runner, textured black and red plates, little coffins as place card holders and candles.
