MA House possesses an impressive structure, consisting primarily of stone and glass walls and concrete ceilings. It was built by Cadaval & Solà-Morales in Tepoztlán, Mexico, an area surrounded by mountains and covered by dense vegetation. Its prime location which allows it to enjoy excellent temperatures throughout the entire year.

This residence was built with a specific idea in mind: being able to view the mountains, considered its primary attraction, from all corners of the house.

Crossed from side to side by a central hallway, its lofty stone walls and concrete roof create, among other things, an imposing sensation.

MORE INSPIRATION

A retro décor characterizes the house’s interior. Wood furniture with white and black textiles form a part of the furnishing of both the living room and dining room.

An immense wall of glass panels divide these spaces from the exterior and at the same time, integrate it with the interior of the house, from which we can enjoy the incredible views of the mountains. The dark stone walls give a towering and elegant aspect to an otherwise simple decoration style.

To one side of the living room, we find a mezzanine built with concrete, and stairs of the same material, which allows us to move to a small relaxing area, decorated in the same retro style and from where we can view the incredible views.

The simple bedroom has a huge glass wall, through which the natural light showers the room and gives a sensation of warmth. A concrete wall with stairs leads us up to the mezzanine level, where we can find a small refuge and dream pleasantly
