When talking about a penthouse in New York, what usually comes to mind is the image of a modern apartment, luxuriously decorated. This apartment, located on Hubert Street in TriBeCa, dates back to 1892 and was remodeled by ODA New York. Although contemporary details have been included in its restoration, certain details of the old building, such as its exposed brick walls, have been preserved to maintain its air of antiquity.
Well, let’s go and see how wonderful this apartment looks now.
After having found it in ruins, and with the firm intention of making this a wonderful space again, a double-height level was added, outfitted with a gallery of steel and glass to create an industrial-style library.
We find a space decorated in a retro style which has as a complement a huge terrace with a view of the surrounding modern buildings, and, beyond – the wonderful city of New York.
A traditional kitchen in dark wood with white marble countertops is one of the contemporary touches that we can find in the apartment’s décor.
The thick wooden stairs with black metal rails rise between floors of rustic wood and metal beams, charming details of the old building that are still preserved and which ultimately make the appeal of this apartment

The bedroom, where once again we’re faced with a retro style in its furnishings, preserves a wall of exposed red brick that emphasizes its history and is followed by a modern white marble bathroom.
