This house is located in Rapel Lake, Las Cabras, O’Higgins Region, Chile. It was constructed in 2015 and covers an area of 138 m2. It was designed by PAR Arquitectos.

Made of pine wood, it has two modules perpendicular to each other. One of them contains the social spaces: the kitchen, dining room, and living room. Meanwhile, the other module holds the private spaces, such as the bedrooms and bathrooms.

A wooden ramp takes us to a bright green door, which takes us into the interior.

Once through the door, we can see the lake on the other side

From the living room, we can enter a terrace from which we can enjoy the sights of Rapel Lake. The mountains decorate the background of this gorgeous view, like something out of a painting.

Inside, the simple aesthetic compliments our surroundings beautifully. The living room, dining room, and kitchen all share the same space.

Hallway that takes us to the bedrooms

In the bedroom, wooden floors lie beneath a bed which runs parallel to a glass door. Much like the terrace, this glass door allows us to enjoy the vistas of the lake, especially during the sunrise. It’s truly a sight to behold.

Once night falls, the house becomes magical. Outside, the last rays of light penetrate through the glass walls, giving the home a mysterious look.
