Pedro Ferreira Architecture Studio has completed the rehabilitation of a 19th century building located in Porto, Portugal. Despite having originally been practically in ruins, the resulting building looks totally renovated. With its clear and modern spaces, we would never imagine its age nor its original condition.

The property has spectacular wooden floors that, in contrast with its white walls and ceiling, stand out in a unique way.

The vertical space was freely divided into different levels, though each has high ceilings and tall windows, allowing an abundance of natural light to flood the rooms.

The kitchen, which has marble counters and walls, was done in white, thus giving the space a greater sense of spaciousness and brightness.

Large white double windows

Beautiful wooden stairs lead us to the second level, where the master bedroom is located and where we find the same decorative style of wood with white walls and ceilings.

A carefree bed welcomes us, with bedspreads that make it invitingly comfortable and warm.

A window on the far wall of the bedroom allows light to flood the room, keeping it from becoming gloomy.

And this is how a building, which was once in ruins, now looks like new thanks to a very well-undertaken renovation.
