This house was originally built in 1900s and t has been recently renovated by New York design studio White Arrow, who split the home in two parts renovating both and highlighting the interiors. Wanna see more? Let’s do it!

The house was split into two parts to create a rental portion with its own separate kitchen to serve as an income property, which the young owners wanted. The owner’s apartment occupies the upper level, while the rental unit spaces the ground floor. Upon entering is a staircase in a narrow hallway, which provides access to both apartments. The staircase was turned into a light-filled space with wooden floors and steps stained off-white, and railings and balustrades painted black.

There was created a new open-plan kitchen, living room, and dining area in the owner’s portion. The new layout maximizes the space for entertaining, with two bedrooms positioned at the opposite end.

The interiors were accented with dark blue cabinetry and mid-century furnishings. These cabinets are painted dark blue with topped white marble counters, with copper pendants hung overhead. Period-appropriate millwork and fixtures were added to complement the home’s historical features. Mid-century pieces include a round coffee table in the living room, an office-style cabinet in the dining room, and a dresser in the master bedroom. The rental kitchen is done with white cabinets and wooden countertops. There are some artworks throughout the house but the main accents are done with cool lamps and lighting fixtures that add style to every space.
