This 130-square-meter Garden Pavilion was built in Krähbühlstrasse, Zürich, Switzerland by the architectural firm Oliv Brunner Volk Architekten. It was undertaken by the architects Christian Brunner, Shervin Taghavi, Luca Schmidt, and Andrej Volk, in the year 2013.
The pavilion is located in the garden of a villa from the 1920s, surrounded by old trees and dense foliage. The structure has two levels, both completely open spaces where the different rooms share in perfect harmony.
Glass walls allow us to observe the exterior from the inside, and the greenery of the vegetation of its gardens is present in each of its spaces, giving it freshness and joy.
The ceilings and internal walls were made of concrete and the floors are lined with a beautiful natural wood that, thanks to its neutral aspect, maintains the sensation of calm and relaxation in the interior.
A beautiful and modern staircase with glass railings connects both levels and receives direct natural light through the skylights placed above it.
In the winter days, when the snow covers all the surrounding vegetation, the views are a spectacle and the glazed glass walls reflect the enchanting landscape.
In the evenings, the interior lights fill the landscaped spaces, creating a perfect atmosphere for those relaxing moments.
