This is the latest architectural renovation project carried out by the Chinese Studio Neri & Hu, who have turned this former missile factory in Beijing, China into a garage, café, and office building where clients can have their cars repaired while they wait, comfortably sipping on a cup of coffee.

The former missile manufacturing factory is largely kept intact; three of its four brick walls remain untouched.

It is located in the city of Beijing, capital of China, which has a history stretching back three millennia. Yet it’s known as much for its modern architecture as for its ancient sites.

Despite the use of concrete and steel material palette, a layer of luxurious materials have been added; walnut wood and brushed bronze.

The introduction and combination of materials chosen by Neri & Hu makes for an inviting interior which takes advantage of the mechanical and industrial theme.

The stairs, a black metal structure, stands out in the interior of the building.

Polished concrete floors, upon which sit modern furnishings in black, help maintain the modern and industrial style, while creating an area of relax and rest.

An office area with modern tables done in wood and black create interesting and pleasant spaces when the time to work arrives.
