This stunning architectural project was designed by Clàudia Raurell, Joan Astallé, and Marc Peiró of RÄS Studio in 2016. The home is located in Vila de Gràcia, a neighborhood in the Gràcia district of Barcelona, Spain, and covers a ground area of 136 square meters.

The interior décor brings together elements of the rustic, the industrial, and the traditional Barcelonese styles, creating a unique ensemble that comes together beautifully. The building actually serves two functions – it is a commercial space on the first level and a private residence on the second level.

All the elements – the rugged stone walls, the exposed concrete and the brick walls painted white, alongside the black metal railings and steps of the stairs – come together to create something that seems to be speaking many different languages, but which we still come to understand as the height of style and good taste. Potted and hanging plants dot the space, spread throughout, and bring a touch of color and life to each corner.

The bedroom is done in a clean, minimalist style, with only a small lamp and a lone cactus as decorative elements, making it clear that this space is meant as a tranquil respite from daily life.
