A dramatic hillside home in Lakeway – a city in the greater Austin Area, in Texas, USA – designed by Frank Lloyd Wright apprentice John Covert Waston, takes the breath away with both its one-of-a-kind form and its views. Built in 1979, the two-story home has multiple protruding balconies and expansive windows to take maximum advantage of its sweeping views.

The unique and striking construction is nestled within the thick vegetation on the top of a hill in the Lakeway area. In this way, the sunset and lake views can be admired and enjoyed alongside family and friends from inside the house, as well as from practically any of the rooms through the home’s glass walls.

It covers an area of 2,240 square feet and was originally built to function as an art studio.

It has three bedrooms, a living room with fireplace, a kitchen and terraces, but what is most impressive in this construction is its exterior and interior structure, which is created with curved forms.

The interior is filled with beautiful details placed in the building and which add charm to every space. The ceilings are done in such a way as to look almost like sculpted flowers, a detail that is unusual and, as such, draws plenty of attention.
