We often see industrial spaces that are dark, rough, not very welcoming and cozy. But the residence we are sharing today is none of this kind – it’s totally comfortable, filled with light and shows a variety of textures and finishes that makes it interesting and welcoming. This large home (3,014 square feet) was designed by Dmitry Sheleg and Zrobym Architects in Minsk, Belarus.

This home shatters the stereotypes associated with industrial-influenced interiors while having a lot of industrial features in the decor. There’s much unfinished concrete and exposed duct-work but the whole interior is still cozy due to the warm color palette used.

The double-height living room united with the kitchen acts as the social core of the house, the two zones are visually divided with a copper clad fireplace that descends from the ceiling. The living zone has a large corner sofa, an industrial table on casters and a large chandelier with a strong industrial feel. The kitchen is done with copper cabinets with concrete countertops and a gorgeous chandelier over the kitchen island.

Upstairs we’ll see a bedroom that shows urban aesthetic: an exposed brick headboard wall and a vertical garden on the wall. A hearth in the corner makes the room cozier, and there’s much light, big windows and the whole space feels airy and welcoming thanks to that.
