Scandinavian style at its best is seen in this lovely downtown Stockholm apartment, located in what was once a brewery. The original factory black framed windows and high ceilings made the living spaces more interesting and provided much natural lights and views.

Abundant natural light floods over the white walls and light timber floors. The furnishings are simple in style and palette, with shades of grey from dove to charcoal offset by the warmth of natural leather, wood and textiles.

The owners have chosen large statement pieces like the living room pendant light to create a dramatic effect. There is a lovely mix of textures to add interest, like the plush velvet sofa, chunky knits, and textured rug, with an almost complete absence of pattern.

The kitchen runs across one long wall of the living space and features beautiful warm wooden doors and an open shelf above them. There’s a dining table with a dark top and wooden chairs and a bench.

The bedrooms are simple but sophisticated and lush; the window sill is used as a storage shelf. The nursery is done in the same style and colors as the rest of the apartment yet there are some playful ad cute touches like fun artworks or a panda pillow.

The bathroom features light grey small tiles on the walls and larger ones on the floor, an oval bathtub, a white geometric sink. The design is simple and laconic like the rest of the rooms in the apartment. Get inspired by these light-filled peaceful spaces and steal some ideas for your interiors!
