This remodeling in which the entry, the closets, the laundry room, the bathroom, and the pantry were arranged on the west and east side to create living and dining-kitchen spaces which are protected from the hustle and bustle of outside, was realized with the needs and preferences of a couple with three children in mind.

The project, located in the Gunma Prefecture, Japan, covers an area of 125 square meters and was completed by the architectural firm studioLOOP in 2014.

In its design the rooms have been separated, creating independent spaces. We can find that the kitchen is located on one side of the living room, separated by a wall, and can be accessed through a door. In spite of the fact that it is a closed space, glass doors have been placed there, giving access to the garden and providing natural light and allowing the air to flow, something that is very important in these spaces.

In the living room, we find stairs with wooden steps and black metal railings that lead us to the upper levels, where we will find the studio area, private rooms, and bathrooms.

The bedrooms are spacious and receive direct light, which represents a saving on power expenses.
