Fire pits are great focal point for cozy gatherings no matter what they’re made of. They’re ideal for casual or intimate gatherings with friends or family, providing a comfortable and cozy environment simply by being at the core of the outdoor seating area. Brick fire pits are especially great at making these spaces feel inviting because of the warmth and rustic charm that this material possesses and imprints on everything that surrounds it. Also, it’s quite fun to build a fire pit using bricks…almost like playing with Lego blocks. Check out these fire pit seating ideas if you’re not convinced.

When they designed this house in Atlanta, Ellis Construction made sure to make it well cozy and welcoming by using simple and pure materials. A lot of important was given to the outdoor spaces which were designed as extensions of the interior living areas. There;s a big patio that accommodates an al fresco dining area and a circular seating area adjacent to it with a brick fire pit at its center. Inside the house there’s a brick fireplace which makes the transition feel quite natural.

What a wonderful and inspiring sight…this looks so cozy and so inviting you can almost feel the gentle caress of the sun and smell the freshness of the grass. This marvelous garden lounge space was designed by Resort Custom Homes as part of one of their projects. They used bricks to shape the pathway and the circular floor area as well as the fire pit at the center. Classical Adironback chairs are placed casually around it.

The area that surrounds a house is just as important as the house itself. There has to be harmony between them so the landscape has to be planned just right. We love the idea of sneaking a cozy seating area in the middle of a garden and surrounding it with grass, flowering plants and trees. Put a fire pit at the center and it’s all perfect. K&D Landscape Management knows a thing or two about it and this is one of their creations.

Foreground Studio gave this space more than just a cozy brick fire pit. The designers also created a built-in bench that gently wraps around the fire pit. It’s made using the same materials and thus cohesion is established. Additional chairs or stools can be added to form a full circle and the bland and neutral-colored decor can be complemented with quirky accessories like pillows or planters.

One of the things that we like about this house is the visual link established between the building and the outdoor deck adjacent to it. We like the fact that earth-colored bricks were partially used in the design of the house’s facade as well as on the deck, the curved bench what wraps around it and the fire pit at its center. The white rocking chairs around the fire pit coordinate with the window frames, emphasizing this connection.

By using bricks to raise the fire pit at the center of this concrete patio in Richmond, Pillar & Peacock turned it into a permanent focal point. It’s not just the fire pit but also a small circle around it that ensure this effect. As far as the rest of the patio is concerned, the design is eclectic and nicely balanced, featuring wood furniture, classic pieces and quirky and fun accent colors. All of this is surrounded fresh greenery.

The brick fire pit and patio setting designed by Belgard and featured in this image is unlike any other we’ve seen so far. We like the fact that imperfections make it whole and that simplicity is at the core of the entire design. The thing that makes this are stand out is the tiered seating area. Three curved benches encircle each other, creating a cinema-like experience and offering the possibility to accommodate large groups comfortably and in a relatively small space.

You might think that brick fire pits are suited for traditional houses and settings and you’d be right for the most part. This property in Dallas shows the elegance of this design direction. The house and the outdoor spaces that surround it are closely linked in terms of design, materials used, finishes and colors. There are no strong contrasts and smooth and fluid lines and curves are preferred. It all adds up to an elegant and traditional look. This was a project completed by Platinum Homes.

A design doesn’t need to be sophisticated to make one feel comfortable. In fact, simplicity is better for achieving that goal. Take this brick fire pit lounge for example. It shows the pure and natural beauty of the materials involved in its design and it’s small which definitely helps to make it look extra cozy. It shows that you can make great things on a budget and you don’t have to compromise on looks or comfort as long as you know what you’re doing.

Isn’t it cool how the transition is gradually made here from the exposed bricks that make up the facade of the house to concrete which was used as flooring for this backyard patio? We love the gradual transition between these materials and the way in which they’re combined and used to create a contemporary fire pit at the back of the patio. It almost looks as if the fire pit melts into the floor. this was another project done by Platinum Homes.

This is one of the designs done by JALA (short for Jeff Allen Landscape Architecture). We absolutely love how bright and vibrant the colors are and the contrast between the terra cotta bricks used in the design of the fire pit and the grass and the stones that surround it. The white Adironback chairs brighten up the whole space. This whole composition is so pure and so beautiful that you can’t help but be inspired by it.

We can’t decide what makes this patio more charming: the brick fire pit or the comfortable-looking armchairs. The fire pit and the curved bench make a perfect pair, being coordinated with the facade of the house.  The armchairs are an addition that completes the space in the most welcoming way possible. This is one of the projects completed by Craft Development.

Don’t look for perfection when designing an outdoor space. The best designs are the ones that embrace imperfections and use them to look as natural as possible and to connect with the landscape around them. This fire pit setting created by Copper Creek Landscape Design is a really good example. Everything here is in sync with nature, including the bounders used as benches, the bricks that form the fire pit and the stones that surround it.
