Monochrome Home With Industrial Touches

This home by designer Laura Seppänen is Scandi monochrome done right. Let’s take a closer look at this swelling with a stark, limited palette warmed by exposed brick accents.

The living room features a brick wall, white floor and walls. Such an interesting backdrop is accentuated with comfy black furniture and a cool concrete table with leather chairs – such a use of materials adds an industrial feel to the space. I love the mirrored copper table as a colorful touch to this monochrome space. Look at the cool painted black and white piano! It’s a great idea how to stylize your musical instrument according to the minimalist style.

The master bedroom is very peaceful and laconic: the restrained color scheme of black and white is accentuated with grey touches – a grey accent wall and nightstands. There’s a large comfy bed, black curtains, a cool industrial floor lamp and many cool abstract wall art pieces. You can see a large light wood wardrobe and an open clothes rack for the most used pieces.

The kitchen is all-white, with wooden floors and it has black metal cabinets and perforated shelves that look very lightweight. Black countertops made of metal are very durable, and the backsplash is made of concrete to make it more practical and to fit the style. The stools are high and there’s a metal bar cart to add more industrial feel – everything is in perfect harmony and looks peaceful and chic.
