It’s hard to believe that the elegant Paris home of interior designer Didier Gomez was once a pharmaceutical factory. Located in the Le Marais neighborhood, the 17th century building features high ceilings and has a private garden, these things inspired the owner and he created a masterpiece for himself – with a confident use of color and a gorgeous art collection.

Two rooms coming into one another are taken for living rooms. the first one is filled with light, white walls reflect it and act as a great backdrop for displaying the owner’s art collection. Neutral-colored mid-century modern furniture is partly designer items and partly the owner’s creations. Small shelves echo with the wooden floors and make up cool storage without cluttering it or looking too heavy.

The second living room is decorated in with a somewhat Eastern feel. There are stools/coffee tables of Asian design and some art pieces on display. The large art piece makes a bold statement, and though it’s not Eastern, it perfectly fits the space.

The dining space is made sunny and colorful with bold yellow decorations. Simple wooden floors and white walls make a backdrop for sunny yellow touches: a unique pendant lamp over the table, several yellow chairs with a refined design and artworks. What’s interesting, there’s a large bookcase here, so I guess the owner likes reading while eating.
