Transform nails and some string into a charming piece of wall art –all with just a hammer! Start with a design that includes two concentric shapes like this heart shape. You can use any design you like, as long as it has a thick area like this.

Start with a central nail and then hammer in the rest of the nails, spaced evenly, all around the edge of the design. Repeat this on the inner part of the design. Remember to hammer them in as evenly as you can! Next, tie some string to the first nail and start weaving it in and around the two rows of nails, forming a pattern. It can be an even or a random pattern – that’s up to you. Make sure you go over the space enough times to make an attractive design. Tie off the string, trim the tails and it’s ready to hang.
