We’re always excited to see the latest lucite wonder in Alexandra von Furstenburg’s collection and this year, she debuted a gem-shaped lidded box that is just as attractive open as it in is closed. The box comes in a range of her luminous colors, with the deep ruby being a favorite.
Among occasional tables, BIDK’s “dented” model stood out for its versatility. The piece is a bit rustic and a bit modern at the same time, and is perfect for any casual spot in the home. The nailhead trim around the top of the table is a nice touch and is currently very popular.

Bloomingville’s décor pieces and accessories are grouped into trends and seasons, and a particularly popular piece is this plant hanger. The plate-like hanger comes in different sizes and can also be used in the bathroom to store toiletries and beauty products in a corner or unused space, adding storage capacity.
In a sea of prints and patterns, the seating from Bunakara stands out for its casual simplicty and elegance. Classic shapes, amply stuffed, are upholstered in a white fabric that is accented with a few spare but dramatic red lines. The unexpected textile choices brings these seats out of the traditional realm and gives them a bit of a farmhouse twist.
Similarly, Bunakara’s dining chairs also have classic lines and a solid wood frame, but the upper half of the chair frame is wrapped in a checked upholstery fabric. This gives the chair a whole new look that is very fresh. In addition, all of Bunakara’a pieces sport one leg that is painted in a matching color to add an unexpected element, throwing expectations off kilter.
Virtually indestructible and oh-so-attractive, products from Chilewich can decorate tables or floors. The specially woven fibers are very durable and waterproof, making them perfect for families of all sizes. In times past, it was common for a woman to throw a silk scarf over a lamp in her boudoir, creating a gentle, relaxing atmosphere of subdued light. Designers at Droog have taken that concept and created a light that takes on the aura of whatever piece of clothing you hang on it. Here, they display has a white shirt on the hanger. It makes for an unusual and soft lighting fixture. Heck, it’s also a great place to hang the shirt you want to wear on the morning when you get up!
We like trays, especially nested ones in different sizes, but this is the first time we have seen one like this. The Elleffe silver metal tray has smaller sections that are fixed features of the larger tray, set at an angle in each corner. This is perfect for segregating items you are serving or even filling with things like nuts or candy when serving drinks on the main part of the tray. The only limit with this piece is the user’s imagination.

John Sheppard has created a cute six-sided ceramic gem shape to hang on the wall as décor or as a planter, each segment of this display is an individual unit, which can b purchased as a closed piece of an open one. Atop the cabinet, the accessory display includes the newest Harlequin canisters in selection of bold colors.
This chair from Kvell is far more than meets the eye. It appears to be a stylish chair with a Nordic sensibility, but it is also a storage chair – the seat opens up to store a generous amount of belongings. Even more striking, the chair arrives packed flat in a box, minimizing the amount of packaging and space needed for transit. In fact, all of Kvell’s pieces, including round storage footstools, come packed flat.
Of course we’ve seen hanging chairs before, but this one from Maxam of Latvia is unusual thanks to the material used – basalt fiber. The resulting chair shell is rigid, durable and can withstand the elements and seasons marvelously well. It’s stylish and could also be used inside. Just about every family can use extra storage space and Mimish has found a really useful way to incorporate it into seating. Both their bean bag style chairs and round ottomans have a hidden compartment that holds an amazing amount of stuff. The bag seat can hold an entire family’s worth of off-season shoes and boots and the ottoman is packed full of Legos, but you would never know it while sitting on the pieces.
This nifty item is Modern Sprout’s grow pack that can hang on the wall, a ledge or railing outdoors. Made of a waxed canvas, it develops a lovely patina as it ages and best of all for city dwellers or those who live in small spaces, it packs flat when empty. This means no worries about where to store the empty pots in the winter.
A modern and highly stylish living room from Nadashta and Lu Xu Studio features a multilevel coffee table made from gorgeous walnut. The Zesty chair from the PLYCOLLECTION of Latvia is great in many ways, especially for its stackability. Crafted from birch plywood, it can be made with a natural finish or painted with a special pigmented lacquer in these bright and vivid colors. Artful consoles are always a good choice for an entryway or living room because they are a focal point and can really make a statement.
